Today, I’m highlighting six ways your soul can support you in living your highest purpose. This list is by no means exhaustive but a good starting point.
I’m always in awe of the power of spiritual guidance to stretch us into the greatest version of ourselves.
1. It gives you the bigger picture view:
Inevitably, on the path to living our purpose, we come upon challenges. It’s easy, in these moments, to get stuck in the 3D view of the hurt and pain, and to even fall into a victimhood energy of “why me?”. However when you work with your spiritual guides, they can get you unstuck by offering a HIGHER perspective that EMPOWERS you. The bigger picture view provides context and greater reason for the situation so you can see how it is supporting your growth and teaching you valuable tools and lessons. This can be especially so, if you are going through a particularly painful or long-lasting situation that makes no sense – at first.
2. It teaches you the middle way:
Soul work is nuanced. It doesn’t see life through a black or white lens like our minds or our egos. This creates room for you to see any situation from many sides which invites compassion, self-forgiveness, empathy and a new understanding of the situation, especially if you’ve felt stuck in on a particular point of view or belief.
3. It teaches you tools and practices that support your spiritual growth:
A big part of spiritual development is “UNlearning” the beliefs and conditioning from our childhood and from society. Soul work shows you simple and effective techniques that work with your spiritual side, supports your emotional and physical well-being, and your nervous system. In this way, you become more well, more self-sufficient and self-reliant in your ability to regulate yourself and to self-medicate in a way that’s healthy and sustainable for you. You learn to trust yourself and to cultivate meaningful practices that support your Soul and your well-being.
4. It eases the mind chatter + keeps you focused:
The beauty of connecting to your Soul’s wisdom is that it has a way of getting to the heart of any situation and bypassing the mind chatter. Soul speak has a resonant KNOWING that propels you to more easily let go of the past. Moreover, it helps you to feel open to trying new things and to stepping onto a new path and to take brave new action that’s aligned with your purpose.
5. It illuminates your highest path of contribution (aka your purpose):
One of the greatest benefits of working with your Soul is that it’s masterful at showing you the most supportive ways for you to be, live and lead in your lifetime. While we all have so many possible choices at any given time, your Soul is here to support you in making the best choices based on your personal Truth, your desires and your goals. You always have free will and choice and sometimes, we just want the reassurance that we are on the right path, to know what choices are best for us and to have that peace of mind. And your Soul is always ready and available to offer you reliable and trustworthy wisdom for your highest good.
6. It stretches you beyond what you thought you could do:
One of the beautiful gifts of working with our Soul is that it shows us the greater vision and plan of what’s possible for us to create and for who we can be in our lifetime. This is often richer than what our minds conjure up as possible for us. Even if you’re ambitious, and a big vision thinker, your Soul paints a FULLER picture of what’s truly possible for you. Some of it goes beyond your current belief system of what you think is comfortable, possible or attainable. In other situations, what your Soul presents you with, you genuinely hadn’t EVEN CONSIDERED then suddenly you start to imagine what life would be life if you chose that direction. I could keep going but here are some things to noodle on.
Above all, your Soul is here to support you in living your most beautiful life.
It only has helpful guidance and will never overstep or share any guidance that’s not anything but supportive of your spiritual development. If you ever do have a harmful experience in a reading, it’s likely the practitioner interfering. Your Soul’s guidance is always loving and supportive.
