I just returned from a 3-day event in Long Beach, CA where I shared my message about the power of living and leading from the soul.

It was magical.

And while I am still integrating all of the transformation from this immersive experience there were definitely powerful and defining highlights.

Here are some of my takeaways from this experience:

  1. Show up + Say Yes: There is no right or perfect time except for now to live your dream. I found out about the Path to Freedom event three weeks ahead of time.  Even though I didn’t have a talk to share yet or any of the marketing materials, I knew it was where I needed to be and that I could make it happen.  As a result, I rocked my first talk, I enrolled several new people to work with me for the first time and I was in a room of amazing new people that are creating amazing change in the world and are actively creating their legacy.
  1. Follow the lightness: As I tell my clients, the lightness creates more lightness.  It felt incredibly light to take this quantum leap in my business and in my visibility.  It defied logic, it defied the investment I thought I was willing to make for this sponsorship and yet it continually felt light and I chose to trust that.  This year I committed to following the lightness and every time I honour that, I create magic.  You don’t need to know the how. You just need to follow what’s light (and true) for you and to trust.
  1. Ask, receive and keep asking questions: This summer I looked deep within myself and created powerful realignments in my business.  With that clarity, I was ready to call in new opportunities to speak, to be in front of my new ideal audience and I knew what I was willing to say a yes to or not.  I had written down on my 90 day goals board to book 3-4 speaking engagements this Fall and to deliver at least one.  Within 2 weeks of writing those goals down I had booked 2 talks and just recently delivered the first one in front of 35+ entrepreneurs who are my ideal clients. Be willing to ASK for what you want and don’t settle for so-so.  Go for the 100% hell yeses. You may find that you are lot more ready to receive them than you’ve given yourself credit for. And keep asking empowering questions that will supporting you in creating what you desire.

  2. Be bold and don’t squander valuable opportunities: Getting to your next level (quickly) will likely involve being courageous and bold.  One of the event speakers was a high performance coach who commands $150k/per client per year.  When he offered to speak to us after his talk for free, I reached out to him and spent 30 minutes talking to him about next leap.  That half hour, if I had paid for it, would have cost thousands of dollars but I didn’t have to and he gave me valuable next steps and offered to speak with me again.  So take advantage of opportunities that present themselves to you and don’t put anyone on a pedestal as tempting as it may be.  They are still people like you and I.
  3. Get support: I let my friends, colleagues and my family know about my speaking event and they were cheering me on every step of the way.  This meant that on the morning of my gig my friend was right there with me masterminding some tweaks to my offer from the stage. My former coach was in the room and offered to hold my hand and clear my energy just before I hopped on stage.  I called my honey who blew me away with his belief in me and his support of what I was stepping into especially the morning before my talk.  Could I have done it all alone? Sure but I didn’t want to as you’ve heard me say before – it takes a village to build a powerful business and why not get support?  Are you willing to ask for it?
  4. 3 degrees of separation: An ‘aha’ from one of the event speakers was that we are likely 2-3 degrees of separation from connecting with anyone or anything we need at any given moment.  Isn’t that so refreshing (and slightly terrifying too?).  So when you start thinking of the “how”, perhaps ask yourself instead: “who do I know?”.  We all know amazing people.  Sometimes we just need to give ourselves permission to think of who they are and courageously reach out to them for support.

And perhaps one of the biggest gifts I want to share with you came as a reminder from my good friend.  When I was afraid that my talk wouldn’t go well or that people wouldn’t want to sign up for my offer, she reminded me that the Universe has always had my back and I’ve never gone without.

So let me ask you:

“What could you create in the world if you trusted that you were fully supported and that the Universe had your back? via @sweetpathgirl.”

When you trust yourself; you say yes to yourself and you surround yourself with like-minded people magic happens.

On a side note, while speaking in front of people is a dream that’s being realized more recently, it has been something I’ve known to be a part of my soul’s path for decades.

In fact, my mother recalls coming to pick me up at school one afternoon when I was 8 years old and she found me on top of a soap box on the corner of the playground with probably a dozen children sitting down and hearing me speak.  I have no recollection of this incident let alone what I was passionately sharing with the group but the desire to speak has always been with me.

I say this because you too – already know what parts of you have been dying to come out and play. Have you been listening?

Perhaps it hasn’t been the right time but it is now.  And whatever that is for you, I encourage you to say yes to yourself and to step into what’s calling at you.

What contributions could you make today if you were to let go of needing to be “perfect” or to have it all figured out and you just followed the lightness and you said yes to your dreams?

And finally, you don’t need to wait forever “paying your dues” to make the quantum leap you want to make today.  You get to decide that you are ready and to make the jump.

Isn’t that awesome?

I can’t wait to see what magic unfolds.
