I’m pissed off. Heartbroken is more like it in fact.
Over the last few months, I’ve been speaking to a lot of smart, amazing women. They know they’re meant to be doing BIG things in the world.
They are passionate, smart, beautiful and have big hearts and even bigger dreams.
When we’d get on the phone and they’d tell me their deepest, juiciest desires. I was moved by their passion.
They came to me because they are longing to live their purpose and to start building a soulful life and business that lights them up.
As we’d get deeper into the conversation, we hit a snag. These women were unwilling to take action towards their dreams.
As I dug deeper to understand their reluctance to have coaching support for their vision I was stunned.
They’d stopped trusting themselves so they were stuck in inaction trying to do it alone.
It was costing them their passion and their soul. They were stuck in inertia and in a cycle of lying to themselves that they could wait to live their dreams until “someday when they had more answers”.
Many of these women had signed up for very high-level programs with other coaches only to find themselves duped, disappointed, broke and disheartened.
They had signed on the dotted line in the promise of having support, clarity and an action plan to build their business visions.
They’d given their power away to a coach who had promised them a “proven formula”, a cookie cutter approach to creating a business.
In return, they found themselves in disputes with their coaches because they didn’t deliver on their promises.
They found themselves with maxed out credit cards and little to show for it.
They found themselves wondering if they could ever trust themselves after making such a disastrous decision.
Worst of all, they found themselves not feeling comfortable trusting other coaches to help them.
For many of them, they’d lost an entire year of progress, of income and they’d come out of the experience worse for the wear.
They’d signed up for a fast track to success. What they got was lack of confidence, fear and more self-doubt.
Bottom line: They took a huge leap backwards.
I know what that feels like because I was tempted by the same “ follow my formula, do what I say and you’ll make 6 figures” promise.
But I was able to trust my intuition and cast my own path.
It was scary.
It took courage.
There was no road map except my soul’s guidance.
While it felt scary to be chartering my own path and it seemed like I wasn’t moving as quickly at first as the others, I stayed true to my truth.
The result: I now have a business that truly honours my gifts, my lifestyle, my schedule and that is bringing in the kind of income I’ve dreamed of.

The truth is that when you build a soulful business that is in alignment with your purpose, your strengths, your unique gifts and who YOU really are, you THRIVE.
This is what business is all about. Infusing it with your true personality, your voice, your values, your truth and your unique brilliance. Doing it YOUR WAY.
While formulas may work in the short-term, they often aren’t sustainable.
This is because our businesses should be a true reflection of who we are. They are mirrors of each other.
The soulful women I work with know that they only truly thrive when they follow their heart and their truth. And that while that’s scary, they wouldn’t want to live any other way.
The key to accelerating your success and to living your purpose is to doing it your way and to following you intuition.
In fact when you follow your heart and create your life and business your way, you actually cut years off of your growth because you are ALIGNED with your truth.
I know it’s tempting to give your power away but your business and your life are your own. You are in the driver’s seat. You get to choose. You’re the leader of your life and your vision.
While coaches can guide and provide support, ultimately, you are the one who dictates how you live your life.
This is why my coaching style is about supporting you in trusting yourself and in giving yourself permission to live your life YOUR WAY. To follow the less traveled path. To live in true alignment with your purpose and with your soul. To see your uniqueness as your biggest asset and truest gift you can share with others.
