Hello sweet one,

Pursuing your dreams feels awesome, doesn’t it? In fact, it can feel exhilarating.

It also isn’t for the faint of heart.

On the path to expansion, we are inevitably confronted with our fears, our doubts and growth can feel downright painful.

Yep! Growing pains. You know what I’m talking about.

If you’re going after your dreams, chances are that you’re being confronted by your demons and as you continue to grow to new levels, you will meet new “devils.”

As my mentor always says: “new level, new devil”.

So, if that little “devil” has been getting at you recently and you’ve been doubting yourself, I’m here to tell you that you’re not crazy. In fact, you’re right on course.

If you’re thinking about making impactful changes to your life (new career, new relationship, a geographic move, etc…) OR you’re committed to achieving some big goals this year, that little “devil” will come knocking at your door – guaranteed.

He’ll get you asking:

What if I fail?

What if I try and look like I fool?

What if everybody leaves me and I’m alone, abandoned and unlovable?

What if I never “get it all figured out?”

If we can accept that the little devil will be coming on the ride with us from the get-go, it will make the ride a little easier.

Whether you are just starting to consider a new life track or are committed to achieving some big goals this year, do not despair.

You are not alone!

We ALL go through this. Myself included.

Truth be told, this week I seriously thought of packing up my business and going to work at Starbucks selling fancy coffees I don’t even know how to pronounce!

Yep!

I was ready to throw in the towel.

You see, this year I am committed to some big goals.

I’m creating a totally new brand with a new message that aligns with the new me. This includes a big overhaul of everything I’ve created so far.

There’s also a lot of soul searching, financial and time investments behind the scenes (I can’t wait to share all of the juiciness with you in the next few months!).

I’m being called to step into my power, own my worth and be more visible with my message.

It’s scary. REALLY scary!

I’m talking to bigger people in my industry.

I’m trying to describe what I do in a way that people can understand!

I’m getting out there more than ever before.

I’m being a LOT more visible and getting out from behind my laptop (an entrepreneur’s malady).

The last 2 weeks have involved some significant emotional breakdowns.

There have been tears.

There have been grunt fests.

There have been hours on the phone with close buddies.

There have been sleepless nights wondering if I will “ever” get it all together.

And this is actually very normal.

It’s part of the deal.

And then earlier this week I caught myself telling a friend the unthinkable:

“Maybe I should just quit. This business thing is just plain hard. When does it get easier?”

Blasphemy!

I’m an entrepreneur through and through. How could I even think this?

As I sat in the sadness and discomfort of this thought I allowed myself to breakdown.

On the path to fully aligning with our soul’s purpose, our will and resilience will be tested. It’s there to strengthen your resolve. {tweet it}

I had a come to Jesus moment with myself:

“Priscilla how badly do you want this?”

Why am I sharing my story with you?

I’m all about transparency and I want you to know that you’re not alone in whatever change/challenge/discomfort you’re going through right now.

Anything worth having, is worth fighting for.

This week I spoke to a lovely woman overseas who is yearning to fulfill on her life’s potential.

She said:  “Priscilla, if only I knew what my potential was. Figuring it out it seems too big and like it will take forever for me to figure out. And then what if I try and I never get there? “

Here’s the secret:

Most of us don’t know what we’re doing most of the time, how it will all play out or if we will ever make it. But we will never know until we try. We owe it to ourselves to figure it out.

That’s the beauty of the exploration of our life’s purpose. It’s a wild and beautiful journey.

So if you’re just starting out on a new endeavor here’s a short roadmap:

STEP # 1 is simpleDECIDE that you are WORTH living full out and going for it even if you don’t know how it will turn out.

STEP # 2: Trust that your DESIRE is there guiding you towards your fullest potential and that you can TRUST YOUR DESIRE.

STEP # 3: Know that you only need to know your first step. The other steps will become clear after that.

STEP # 4: ACTION is what builds courage, faith and confidence. Thinking and waiting will keep you stuck in your head. Once you’ve decided, then it’s all about action, action and MORE action!

If you want to move forward, you must take action IN SPITE OF YOUR FEAR.

There is no other way to living your full potential.

You will grow and feel mighty proud of yourself.

STEP # 5: Hire a coach to support you throughout the process. He/She will show you your blind spots, call you out on your self-sabotaging behaviours and compassionately guide you towards your dreams.

Model their success. They can show you the way faster than if you tried to figure it out alone. They’ve been in your shoes.

I never imagined that I would be in my third year in business. It’s been a wild ride with amazing highs and some dark lows.

And… I wouldn’t have it any other way.

I am deeply committed to living my best life – no matter what it takes. My clients are the same way, that’s why I love you guys.

We’re scared $h**less and we do it anyway.

 Devil

So when your little “devil” comes out to play:

  1. Give yourself permission to trust your desire, your “crazy” idea, and to feel your feelings.
  2. Decide you’ll take 1 step and get support – even if that means hiring a kick-ass coach that gets you and that inspires you.
  3. Accept that you will be tested and that’s part of the ride. We ALL go through this. Successful people accept and even welcome challenges as experiences that strengthen them.
  4. Fail forward: what if you looked forward to “failing”? Face your biggest fears straight on and realize – they won’t kill ya! They’ll make you stronger.
  5. Keep going and course correcting as you go along.
  6. Have a good support team to cry, laugh and have ice-cream with when you need to.

Bottom line: Even the best of us hit rough patches. No matter where you are on your journey.

Here’s more truth telling:

Change is uncomfortable.

Transformation requires getting out of your comfort zone.

AND it’s totally worth the rewards if you stay the course.

Your ability to realize your desires is directly proportionate to your willingness to get uncomfortable. Play to win via @sweetpathgirl {tweet it}.

I invite you to be courageous this week.

I invite you to look at yourself in the mirror and tell yourself you’re awesome, you CAN DO this and that you will figure it out and get support along the way.

Here’s to living a life with no regrets!

If you’re looking for support figuring out your next step (in life, health, or business), reach out to me via email and let’s chat!  I’ll be glad to see how I can help you realize your juiciest desires.

To your sweet success,
